My son's father and I have been separated since October of last year and got our divorce granted in April of this year. We didnt fight during the divorce and continued to have a close relationship and spent alot of time together with our son. It was almost like we never split. The problem is, my ex husband is originally from Texas and decided to move back where his family is. My son and I live in Nebraska. I know there are books about divorce for kids, but are there books about the other parent moving away? Id like to find something to help my son deal with the sudden separation from his father. He is 2 and a half years old and doesnt understand why he cant see his daddy when he wants to anymore. Im desperate.. any help or advice is appreciated. Already a few replies. Thank you. And I know books are not going to replace his dad, but I cannot move at this time. Im helping take care of grandparents with alzheimers, in school, and dont have any family in Tx to help me.
